Decided to try sketching again. Realized I haven’t picked up a pen to sketch in over two years… too many other things to do…. fun to do again….need to practice….

If Owls Were Blue…..
This is a watercolor painting with analogous colors. I decided to try ‘crumpled Saran Wrap’ in creating the background.
House Finch
I started this painting using watercolor pencils while riding in a car. Then I used a water brush to blend. It was pretty bland so I added watercolor later. Then I painted the background. I still didn’t like it so decided I had nothing to lose if I added collage paper and it didn’t work. I’m okay with it now, but this is probably a backwards way to work!
